Yamarin 46 SC

The hull is moulded glassfibre-reinforced plastic and the boat is certified to CE design category C, for coastal and inshore waters. The current hull was introduced for the 2019 season and measures 4.65 m overall by 1.85 m, with a boat weight of about 415 kg and a draught of roughly 0.28 m. The deck arrangement is a side console: the helm stands to one side of the centreline with a windscreen ahead of it, leaving a walk-through to the bow rather than a full-width division. Bow railings run aft along both sides of the hull, which the builder cites as a boarding aid rather than a styling feature.

Accommodation is open and seats five. A long seat runs across the bow, a bench sits immediately forward of the console, and an aft bench spans the transom; stowage is provided beneath all three. Standard equipment at launch included the bow railings and cushions for the aft bench and its backrest, with bow cushions, an aft canvas, aft side railings and a mooring cover offered as options. Later factory specification lists add stainless rails, cleats and handles, integrated navigation lights, a fuel filter, 12 V outlets, Yamaha LAN instrumentation and no-feedback steering.

Propulsion is a single outboard on the transom. The owner's manual rates the boat for a maximum of 38 kW (50 hp) and a maximum engine weight of 162 kg, and gives a fuel tank capacity of 25 litres with a second 25-litre tank available as an option. Yamarin quotes a recommended power range of 30 to 50 hp and a maximum speed of about 31 knots. Finnish dealers sell the boat as a package with the Yamaha F40 and F50 four-stroke outboards, both in long-shaft (L) form.

The 46 SC designation has been in the Yamarin range since 2006, but the boat sold under it changed at the 2019 model year. The 2006 to 2018 version measured 4.57 m by 1.93 m and weighed 450 kg, was rated to 60 hp and was covered by a shared owner's manual alongside the 42 Open, 44 Side Console, 47 Twin Console and 50 Side Console. The 2019 boat is narrower, slightly longer, roughly 35 kg lighter and rated to a lower maximum power, and has its own manual. It was announced in January 2019 as the third new model of that season, after the 88 Day Cruiser and the 63 Bow Rider, and remains in the catalogue.

Within the Yamarin glassfibre range the 46 SC sits at the bottom, below the 50 BR bow rider and the larger console, bow rider and day cruiser models. Inha Works builds it alongside the aluminium Buster brand and the aluminium-hulled Cross range, which has carried its own separate 46 SC model; the two are different boats and should not be conflated.
