Flipper 670 ST

The 670 ST is a glass-fibre planing boat of 6.66 m length and 2.48 m beam, weighing 1,300 kg without engine according to the 2014 price list and rated CE category C for seven persons. It uses the same dimensions as the 670 DC day cruiser but carries a low sport-top roof over the helm in place of the day cruiser's open windscreen. A German dealer test described the hull as a V-bottom with pronounced deadrise. Its styling is by Espen Thorup.

Access to the foredeck is through an opening forward window, as on the windscreen models, and there are no side decks. Unlike the 670 DC, which has a double bench to starboard, the ST has separate seats for driver and co-driver, giving a wider central passage at the cost of a slightly shorter cockpit sofa. The steps and door to the foredeck are wide for a boat of this size, and Kippari found the interior considerably more spacious than the exterior suggests. boats.com noted that the 670 ST adds a sliding roof section to the smaller 640 ST's layout. The 2014 price list lists 2+2 berths, a 214-litre fuel tank, hydraulic steering and SmartCraft instruments as standard, with a Wallas cooker-heater, fridge box and marine toilet with holding tank as options.

The boat takes a single outboard of 135 to 250 hp. The 2014 Swedish price list offered a Mercury F150 EFI or 200, 225 and 250 hp Mercury Verados. The builder's tables record 39.1 knots at 6,000 rpm with a 200 hp Verado and 33.9 knots at 5,000 rpm with a 150 hp EFI.

The 670 ST was presented in 2012 together with the 670 DC; Praktiskt Båtägande described it as Flipper's first larger hardtop in 20 years. The 2019 price list no longer includes it but lists a 700 ST, in parallel with the 670 DC's development into the 700 DC.

In the mid-2010s range it was the middle-to-large sport top between the 640 ST and the 880 ST.
