Nimbus 28 DC

In production 1985–1996 Designed by Rolf Eliasson

The Nimbus 28 DC is a GRP sterndrive hardtop day cruiser of about 8.75 m, built roughly 1985 to 1996 to a Rolf Eliasson design, now discontinued. It has a 3.0 m beam, a 3000 kg dry weight, a 280-litre fuel tank and two cabins with a heads. It is a 1980s-90s classic, not a modern dual-console.

The 28 DC is a two-cabin hardtop day cruiser on a single Volvo Penta sterndrive, with the top fitted option a 271 hp AQ271 petrol and a roughly 190 hp D3 diesel also offered.

Sources conflict on length (8.75 vs 8.60), beam (3.0 vs 2.85) and berths (5 vs 4); the majority figures are used and berths omitted. Draft and max_hp are omitted, and being pre-1998 the boat carries no factory CE category.
