Nimbus 27 C

In production 1990–1998 Designed by Rolf Eliasson

The Nimbus 27 C is the Nimbus 27 Coupe, a GRP shaft-drive diesel cruiser of about 8.45 m built roughly 1990 to 1998, now discontinued. It has a 2.85 m beam, a 1.0 m draft, a 2800 kg dry weight, a 200-litre fuel tank and a single cabin with two berths and a heads. It shares its hull with the 27 Familia.

The taxonomy name '27 C' resolves to the Nimbus 27 Coupe, the single-cabin body on the shared 27-series hull; the 27 Familia adds an aft cabin on the same hull. Both use a single Volvo Penta TAMD31 diesel on a straight shaft.

Being shaft-driven with fixed running gear, the 1.0 m draft is an unambiguous full-draft figure. Maximum power is omitted (the top variant was about 150 hp, 130 hp common, but no manufacturer maximum plate was found), and being pre-1998 the boat carries no factory CE category. It was succeeded by the Nimbus 280 series.
