Nimbus 27 Familia

In production 1990–1997 Designed by Rolf Eliasson

The Nimbus 27 Familia is a GRP shaft-drive diesel family cruiser of about 8.45 m built roughly 1990 to 1997, now discontinued. It has a 2.85 m beam, a 1.0 m draft, a 3000 kg dry weight, a 200-litre fuel tank and two cabins sleeping five with a heads. It shares its hull with the 27 Coupe.

The 27 Familia is the aft-cabin family layout on the shared 27-series hull, giving two cabins and five berths against the single-cabin 27 Coupe. Power is a single Volvo Penta TAMD31 diesel on a straight shaft, so the 1.0 m draft is a fixed full-draft figure.

Maximum power is omitted for want of a manufacturer rating, and being pre-1998 the boat carries no factory CE category. It replaced the Nimbus 2600 in the range.
