Nimbus 380 Commander
The Nimbus 380 Commander is a GRP shaft-drive pilothouse cruiser of about 11.5 m, the flagship Commander, CE category B for eight persons. It has a 3.6 m beam, a deep 1.8 m draft, a 755-litre fuel tank, 430 litres of water and two cabins with six berths and a heads. Later boats carry twin Volvo Penta D4-300 diesels for 600 hp combined.
The 380 Commander is a traditional shaft-drive V-drive cruiser descended from the earlier Nimbus 370, built in pilothouse and flybridge forms. The deep 1.8 m draft reflects the semi-displacement hull.
Production dates and engines shifted with the model's evolution: earlier boats in the 370/380 lineage used twin KAMD43 diesels, later 380 Commanders the twin D4-300, so the span is reported rather than averaged. One test source lists an implausible 0.9 m draft that is inconsistent with the hull and is not used.
