Fairline Targa 48 GT
The Targa 48 GT is a British sports cruiser, the Gran Turismo variant of Fairline's Targa 48 with a retractable glass roof over the helm and Volvo Penta IPS pod drive.
The Targa 48 GT pairs the Targa 48's hull with the sliding sunroof that defines Fairline's GT models, letting the cockpit and helm open to the sky or close up against weather. It runs on twin Volvo Penta IPS pod drives, with 435hp IPS600 units standard and 550hp IPS700s offered as an upgrade, giving joystick-assisted low-speed handling alongside sportscruiser performance. Fairline introduced vacuum-infused hull construction on the 48 in 2014, specifically to accommodate the IPS pod installation. Cabin layout and berth count varied across the model's production run, so figures should be checked against the specific boat rather than assumed from brochure material.
