Fairline Phantom 42

In production Unknown

The Phantom 42 is a British flybridge motor yacht, the final iteration of Fairline's first-generation Phantom 40, built between 1997 and 1999 with a two-cabin layout and a convertible saloon berth.

The Phantom 42 grew out of the original 1994 Phantom 40, and was the last version of that first generation before Fairline moved to the larger, renamed Phantom range in the 2000s. It has two cabins on the lower deck, an owner's cabin forward with an island bed and ensuite, and a second cabin with twin beds and its own day heads, plus a saloon with a convertible pull-out double for occasional extra guests. Fairline offered it with a choice of Volvo Penta TAMD diesels, a 318hp version giving around 28-31 knots or a 370hp version reaching 31-33 knots. Fit-out was in deep-gloss varnish with plush seating, typical of Fairline's cruising yachts of the period, and 116 were built over the model's short run.
