Azimut Atlantis 34

The Atlantis 34 is a hardtop sport cruiser and the smallest boat Azimut built under its Atlantis label. Atlantis is the group's sportscruiser range, positioned apart from the flybridge, S and Magellano lines: shorter, sterndrive-driven boats intended for day use and short coastal trips rather than long-range passage-making. At 10.25 metres the 34 sat below the Atlantis 38, 43, 48 and 58 and formed the entry point to the whole Azimut catalogue.

The model was introduced for the 2012 season and stayed in the range until around 2021. Some brokerage databases date the model from 2014; that appears to reflect when used hulls became common rather than the launch year, and the 2012-2021 span is the one Azimut-facing sources give. The boat won the sportscruiser class (up to 45 ft) at the 2014 Motor Boat Awards.

Accommodation is on one level under a fixed GRP hardtop with a manually opening fabric panel over the cockpit; no open or soft-top version was catalogued. Below deck there is a master cabin amidships with a double berth, for which the yard quotes 1.95 m maximum headroom, a saloon and dinette forward that converts to a second double, a galley along one side, and one separate compartment for the heads and shower. That gives four berths; the boat is rated for ten people on day trips. Topside the cockpit has a double helm seat, a C-shaped settee, a wet bar with sink and griddle, an aft-facing chaise longue, a foredeck sunpad and a full-width bathing platform.

Hull and superstructure are GRP. Naval architecture was by the Slovenian office Seaway, which drew several Azimut hulls of this period; exterior styling is credited to Neo Design, and the interior was developed by Neo Design together with Azimut's own design team. Transom deadrise is quoted at about 18 degrees.

Only one engine package was offered. Twin Volvo Penta D3-220 five-cylinder 2.4-litre common-rail diesels, 220 hp each at 4000 rpm, drive Aquamatic Duoprop sterndrives, for 440 hp in total. There was no shaft or pod alternative, although the same D3 engine was available with IPS in other applications. Published tests recorded 30 to 31.7 knots wide open and a cruise of 25 to 27 knots at about 3500 rpm; an Italian test measured 97 litres per hour at 3860 rpm and 56 litres per hour at 3000 rpm. Fuel capacity is 650 litres and fresh water 185 litres. The boat is certified to CE design category B.

The 34 was aimed at buyers stepping into the Azimut brand, or moving up from a smaller sportsboat, who wanted Italian styling and overnight accommodation without a flybridge boat's size or running cost. Published weights are not consistent: around 8,790 kg is quoted at full load, while at least one test lists roughly 8,000 kg, presumably dry. Beam is variously given as 3.44 m, 3.50 m and 3.52 m.
