Azimut Atlantis 51

Atlantis began as a separate Azimut sub-brand for open sportboats and is now simply one of the model lines inside the Azimut range, sitting beside the Flybridge, Magellano, Grande and Verve families. As of 2026 the line holds two boats: the Atlantis 45 at 14.60 m and the Atlantis 51 at 16.18 m. The 51 is the larger of the pair and is a distinct hull rather than a stretched 45. What the extra length mainly buys is a third cabin below and a tender garage in the transom, neither of which the 45 offers, so the two boats are aimed at fairly different weekends rather than being the same idea in two sizes.

The boat had its world premiere at boot Dusseldorf in January 2018 and remains in the current catalogue. Exterior and interior styling are credited to Neo Design, the studio of Marco Biaggi and Filippo Salvetti; Azimut credits the hull to its own Azimut-Benetti research department. Hull and superstructure are GRP, and the hull is a planing form with 14.2 degrees of deadrise at the transom.

Accommodation is arranged on one main level plus a lower deck. A hardtop with a sliding roof panel covers the helm and saloon, and the side glass opens, so the whole main-deck volume can be run closed or effectively open. The cockpit holds a C-shaped settee with a folding table that converts to a sunpad, with wet-bar, fridge and icemaker fittings available. Aft of that is a sunpad over the garage, which takes a tender of roughly 3.25 m, and a hi-lo bathing platform used both for launching and as a swim terrace. A second sunbed sits on the foredeck. Below deck there are three cabins and six berths: a master forward with its own head, a VIP amidships whose double converts to two singles, and a third cabin with bunks, plus a central dinette and a port-side galley with induction hob, oven and dishwasher. Two heads serve the boat. There is no crew cabin and no crew berth; all the volume goes to owner and guests.

Only one engine package is published. Azimut lists twin Volvo Penta IPS800 pods at 600 hp each, which matches the D8-IPS800 rating of 600 hp at the crankshaft and 570 hp at the propshaft. Azimut quotes up to 32 knots maximum and 26 knots cruising; Motor Boat & Yachting measured 34.5 knots on a lightly loaded boat with a tender aboard, and other tests report 35 knots. Fuel is 1,500 litres and water 450 litres, and YachtBuyer gives a maximum range of 525 nm at 8.2 knots, so this is a day and short-cruise boat rather than a passagemaker. The RCD category is B, certified for up to 12 people.

The intended buyer is an owner-driver who wants sportboat styling and joystick handling but also wants three separate cabins and somewhere to stow a tender, a combination that is unusual at this length.
