XO 270 OB

XO Boats premiered the XO 270 RS Cabin OB at the Vene 14 Båt show in Helsinki in February 2014. It was a twin-outboard version of the 270 RS Cabin. The launch release quoted 2 × 250 hp, a cruising speed of 35 knots and a top speed of nearly 50 knots. The Front Cabin OB followed in 2014; it replaces the open bow cockpit with a two-berth cabin and takes single or twin outboards. From 2016 the yard dropped the "RS" and sold both as the XO 270 Cabin OB and 270 Front Cabin OB. Power & Motoryacht called the Cabin OB XO's best-selling model. The range was briefly listed as the 280 Cabin and 280 Front Cabin early in 2021, and then continued as the EXPLR 10 Sport and Sport+.

The hull and deck match the inboard 270: a 5083 marine-aluminium hull with 24° transom deadrise and a GRP deck module. Instead of an engine hatch, the outboard versions have a transom with swim platforms beside the engines, and fuel is carried in two 225-litre tanks. The yard gives the weight without engines as 2,250 kg. Berths are listed as 1 + 2 for the Cabin OB and 2 + 2 for the Front Cabin OB.

The yard's HP recommendation was a single 250–350 hp or twin 150–250 hp (2016), narrowed for singles to 250–300 hp on the 2019 tech sheets; its later configurator summarised the range as 250–500 hp. In 2020 the factory fitted Mercury Verados: a single 300 V8 or 350 L6, or twin 225 V6s or 250 V8s. Test boats have also run twin Yamaha F200s.

Power & Motoryacht drove the 2017 America's Cup press boat, a 270 Cabin OB, and recorded 42 knots top speed and a 28-knot cruise. Motorboat Owner tested a twin Yamaha F200 Cabin OB in January 2020 and described a fast, head-turning aluminium sportster with a dry, warm wheelhouse.
