XO 260 Cabin

XO introduced the 260 Cabin at Boot Düsseldorf 2020 as the first of a second generation of boats, with more beam and volume than its predecessors: it has the 2.55 m beam of the older 270 in a shorter hull. A T-top version, the 260 T-top, was offered alongside it. In 2021 the model was reworked and renamed EXPLR 9 as XO moved to its EXPLR, DSCVR and DFNDR naming; the yard's current EXPLR 9 page still describes it as the boat that debuted at Düsseldorf in 2020 and was improved in 2021. The EXPLR 9 has different published figures (8.57 m length, 2.57 m beam, 2,404 kg without engine, 305 l of fuel, 450 hp maximum), so the specifications here are those of the 2020 260 Cabin.

The hull is the yard's deep-V aluminium design with a GRP superstructure; the yard quotes 23 degrees of deadrise at the transom on the product page and 22 degrees in its specification table. The wheelhouse holds the helm and a four-person dinette whose forward section serves as a navigator's bench and converts to a double berth. There is a separate heads compartment with a toilet, and an optional galley could replace one bench. Aft is a small cockpit with flip-up side benches, and there is further seating in the bow.

The yard's 2020 figures are 8.1 m length excluding engine, 2.55 m beam, 0.90 m draft to the propellers, 2,200 kg without engine, 315 l of fuel, two berths and CE category C for eight people, with a claimed top speed of up to 50 knots. It was sold with factory-fitted Mercury outboards: the yard's range was 200 to 400 hp, its 2019 price list quoted the boat with a 225 hp Mercury, and the 2020 configurator offered 250, 300, 350 and 400 hp units.
