XO 250 Open

The 250 Open appeared on the XO site in early 2015 as 'our new XO 250' and was reviewed by Hamnen.se in December 2014. It uses the 7.52 m, 24-degree hull of the 240 RS Open, which the yard later said had been 'updated to 250 Open', with new superstructure mouldings, new consoles with an optional folding plotter panel, a wider interior and seating for up to eight. By late 2020 the yard listed it under previous models; MBY described the 2021 260 DSCVR as its larger, more comfortable successor.

The hull is 5083 aluminium with a GRP deck. The yard gives 7.52 m length, 2.28 m beam, 1,250 kg without engine, 230 l of fuel, 0.90 m draft to the propellers and CE category C for eight, with an outboard range of 175 to 300 hp and a top speed of 40+ knots. Powerboat & RIB quoted a 150 to 320 hp range. Testers counted nine deck lockers plus open bins in the topsides.

MBY tested it in 2015 with a 300 hp Mercury Verado Pro and recorded 44.2 knots, calling it 'a high-speed dayboat par excellence'. Powerboat & RIB reached 47 knots with a Mercury Verado Pro and rated its driving among the best available in a 25 ft boat. BOOTE, in 2016, recorded 45 knots with an Evinrude E-TEC G2 300 and called it a super runabout that is safe in all riding situations.
