XO 240 RS Open

According to Båtnytt, the XO range began with the 240 RS Open alone, a design by Sakari Mattila first shown at the floating boat show at Wasahamnen in Stockholm in 2009; the cabin version and the shortened 220 S followed on the same hull. The yard listed it from its first website in 2009. From about 2017 it was marketed as the XO 240 Open, and the yard later wrote that the 240 had been updated into the 250 Open, introduced at the end of 2014; both were listed side by side until 2018.

It is an open boat with a windscreen, a centre walkway to the foredeck, sprung sports seats for driver and passenger, a bench aft and large lockable storage along the port side. The hull is AlMg4.5 (5083) aluminium with 5 mm bottom and 4 mm side plating, a 24-degree transom deadrise and a self-draining GRP deck. The yard gives 7.52 m length, 2.28 m beam, a height of 1.60 m without the optional targa or light mast, 1,250 kg without engine (1,150 kg in its 2010 data), 230 l of fuel, 0.90 m draft and CE category C for eight people.

The outboard version carried an HP recommendation of 150 to 300 hp. In Sweden in 2011 it came with an Evinrude E-TEC 250 as standard, good for about 46 knots, or an E-TEC 300, which Båtnytt found added only about a knot. The 240 RS Open I/O, a sterndrive version with a larger cockpit, was offered in 2010 with Yanmar 4BY2-180 and 6BY2-220 diesels on the ZT350 drive and later with the Volvo Penta D3-220 on a DPS drive or the Yanmar 6BY2-260; with the Yanmar it weighs 1,750 kg. MBY's Nick Burnham, testing a 250 hp boat in 2012, called it 'a wonderful fusion of build, practicality and style', but for day boating only. With the 240 RS Cabin it won the Performance and Superboat category of Motorboat of the Year 2013.
