XO 240 RS Cabin

The 240 RS Cabin was announced on XO's first website as 'coming fall 2009' and the yard's CE declaration for it is dated 1 January 2010, making it the second XO after the 240 RS Open, whose hull it shares. It was built at Heinola in the early years. XO called it the XO 240 Cabin from about 2017 and it was still listed on the yard's site in 2018, after the 250 Open had taken over the open version's place; it is not in the range from 2019.

The wheelhouse has large doors at both the front and the rear, giving a sheltered central passage from the aft deck to the bow, plus two roof hatches. Inside are sprung driver and passenger seats and two lengthwise benches for four more people. Båtnytt noted there was no galley, sink or toilet on the options list: it is a covered transport boat, not a cruiser, although a heater was offered. The hull is AlMg4.5 (5083) aluminium, 5 mm on the bottom and 4 mm on the sides, with a GRP deck and superstructure; the space between the outer and inner hulls is filled with replaceable air-cushion buoyancy that also damps noise.

The yard lists 7.52 m length, 2.28 m beam, 1,340 kg without engine, 230 l of fuel, 0.90 m draft, a 24-degree transom deadrise and CE category C for eight people, with an HP recommendation of 175 to 300 hp. The owner's manual gives a maximum of 300 hp and 48 knots at full power, and an unladen mass of 1,740 kg. In Sweden in 2011 it was sold with an Evinrude E-TEC 250 as standard or an E-TEC 300; Båtnytt measured 47 knots with the 300 and found the cabin notably quiet.
