Delta 400 SW

In production Unknown Designed by Lars Modin

The Delta 400 SW is the current development of the 40 WA, a 13.10 m GRP sterndrive walkaround cruiser. Delta describes it as based on the 40 WA hull but longer, lighter at 6700 kg and with a third cabin added under the driver's seat. It has a 3.60 m beam, a 1.20 m draft, three cabins sleeping six and CE category B, on twin Volvo Penta sterndrive diesels up to 760 hp.

The 400 SW is the current successor to the 40 WA, on a stretched and revised version of that GRP walkaround hull - 13.10 m against 12.80, and lighter at 6700 kg against 7000 - with a third cabin added beneath the helm for a genuine three-cabin, six-berth layout. It is vacuum-infused GRP, not carbon.

Power is twin Volvo Penta Duoprop sterndrive diesels, either D4-320 or D6-380, the twin D6-380s giving the 760 hp combined maximum and a 42 to 44 knot top speed. Fuel is 700 litres and water 400. Because it is a real redesign rather than a rename, it is profiled here as a distinct model from the 40 WA, which is retained separately.
