Finngulf 44

I produktion 1991–2005 Formgiven av Håkan Södergren

The Finngulf 44 (1991-2005) is a 13.3 m masthead-rigged Håkan Södergren design, the largest boat of Finngulf's Södergren era, with three cabins and two heads. Fourteen were built.

Södergren's design list dates the 44 to 1989, and the yard later described it as intended to take on similar-sized Swans. Finngulf's model page gives 14 boats built between 1991 and 2005, several of which have circumnavigated; the last were built by Saare Paat on Saaremaa, Estonia, Finngulf's partner from 1997.

Unlike the fractional-rigged Finngulfs, the 44 has a masthead sloop rig with a 50 m2 mainsail and a 150% genoa of 82 m2. The yard's 2004 page gives 13.30 m length, 11.20 m waterline, 3.90 m beam, 2.10 m draft (1.80 m shallow keel), 10,600 kg displacement and a 4,500 kg keel, with 150 l of fuel and 350 l of water; the design is credited to Södergren in co-operation with the yard. The layout has a forepeak and two aft cabins with two heads. The engine listed is a Volvo Penta MD22L on a saildrive.

Vene magazine featured the 44 in 1990; no full test was found.
