Finngulf 41

The 41 was introduced in 2001 and built until the yard closed in 2011; Vene reported 44 sold by May 2010, some of them built at Saare Paat in Estonia. A version arranged for short-handed sailing, with an open transom, was sold as the 411.

The owner's manual gives 12.5 m length, about 11.2 m waterline, 3.86 m beam, 2.00 m draft (1.80 m option; the German brochure also lists 2.20 m), 7,800 kg displacement in racing trim (8,500 kg cruising) and 2,800 kg of ballast (3,050 kg with the shallow keel). The 19/20 fractional rig has 18.5-degree swept double spreaders; the manual gives 81.2 m2 of projected sail area. Tanks are 145 l of fuel and 150 + 95 l of water. The layout has a forecabin, two aft cabins and one heads. It is certified to CE category A.

The factory material lists a 40 hp Volvo Penta MD2040 on a saildrive, with a larger engine of about 41 kW as an option; nearly every boat found for sale has the 55 hp D2-55. Robert Perry wrote in SAILING that "there isn't an ugly line" on the boat, and YACHT's 2003 test was titled "Flat, fast, fantastic".
