Finngulf 36

I produktion 1986–2004 Formgiven av Håkan Södergren

The Finngulf 36 (1986-2004) is a 10.94 m Håkan Södergren-designed fractional sloop with a balsa-cored hull and teak interior. With 99 boats it was one of Finngulf's most-built models.

The 36 stayed in production for almost two decades, from 1986 to 2004, and Finngulf's archived model page gives 99 boats. Vene magazine tested it in 1987 and included it in comparison tests in 1989 and 2001.

The factory brochure gives 10.94 m length, 8.60 m waterline, 3.28 m beam, 1.90 m draft, 5,500 kg displacement and 2,350 kg of lead ballast, with a hand-laid balsa-sandwich hull and deck. The fractional rig carries a 35.1 m2 mainsail and a 40.5 m2 genoa. The layout has a vee-berth forecabin, a saloon with two settees, an aft double cabin to port and a heads to starboard aft, finished in teak; tanks are 75 l of fuel, 100 l of water and a 90 l septic tank.

Every boat found has a Volvo Penta diesel on a saildrive. The brochure lists the 18 hp 2002/S; boats from about 1988 have the 28 hp 2003, and those of the 1990s and 2000s the 29 hp MD2030.
