8.2L 430
The MerCruiser 8.2L 430 is the 430 hp MAG H.O. rating of the current 8.2-litre (502 cid) petrol big-block V8, the top recreational MerCruiser petrol.
The 8.2L 430 is the high-output calibration of the current 502 cu in GM-based big-block V8, catalogued as 8.2 MAG H.O. It shares the 380 hp MAG's bore and stroke, MPI and 4600–5000 rpm WOT band; the extra fifty horsepower is the H.O. tune. Mercury put this family on the market after IBEX 2009 to succeed the 8.1L 496 MAG HO. It is not the older pre-496 8.2 MAG, and it is not the Horizon inboard H.O., which Mercury rates at 425 hp.
Drive pairings are Bravo One X/XR, Bravo Two X and Bravo Three X/XR — not Alpha. Bravo Four S also takes the 8.2L. The same 430 hp number is the top T8200 TowSport inboard rating, so propulsion is a pairing choice.
