Axopar 38 XC
The Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin is a new model for 2026, an 11.85 m GRP outboard cruiser on fresh tooling positioned above the 37 rather than replacing it. It has a 3.53 m beam, an 830-litre fuel tank, 150 litres of water and sleeps five in two cabins. It is CE category B for ten people and C for twelve, and takes twin outboards to 700 hp combined.
The 38 XC runs alongside the 37 rather than ousting it - Axopar has confirmed it continues to build the less expensive 37, and published a fresh 2025-26 manual for the 37 XC while listing both ranges together. The two are dimensionally distinct: 11.85 m and 3.53 m beam against the 37's 11.50 and 3.35, and 5300 kg against 3770.
Maximum power deserves care because it is counter-intuitively lower than the 37 XC's. The owner's manual states twin 257 kW for 700 hp, and the model page agrees with 'twin 300 to 350 hp'; the configurator offers only the Mercury V8 Verado 300 and V10 Verado 350. The manual's adjacent '2 x 400' figure is maximum engine WEIGHT in kilograms, not power.
Draft is 1.1 m to the props on both the model page and the manual; the 0.9 m in both January 2026 press releases is an error that the later Sun Top release corrects. Weight is Axopar's 5300 kg estimate with average options, where the manual's ISO hull weight is 4277 kg. No deadrise figure is given here because Axopar's own material says 20 degrees on the spec page and press releases but 22 in its newsroom article.
