Marex 270 Estremo

Marex presented the Estremo as a fast day cruiser for family and friends, and it was the first model whose production moved from Norway to the partner yard in Kaunas. The yard's 2011 website called it a performance overnighter and said several countries used it as a police patrol boat. Marex's history page gives production as 1996 to 2015, with 306 built.

The cockpit has a two-seat helm bench whose backrest flips to face aft, a folding teak table and a large aft sunpad over the engine, whose backrest slides forward to form a bench. The galley (hob, sink, 42 l fridge) sits in the port forward corner of the cockpit. Below is a V-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth, with a heads and shower to starboard.

In 2003 Marex listed five single Volvo Penta engines: 5.7 Gi and 8.1 GXi petrol engines, and KAD43, KAD44 and KAD300 diesels. The 420 hp 8.1 GXi was quoted at up to 55 knots. By 2011 the standard engine was the D4-260, with the D6-370 as an option. Boat Owner Middle East (2005) reported about 45 knots with diesels, and Motor Boat & Yachting's video test of the D6-370 version recorded more than 40 knots and praised its acceleration and rough-water handling.
