Finngulf 33

Two different boats carried the name. The first, sometimes called the 33 HS, was a Håkan Södergren design of about 10.05 m built from 1983 to 1990 (25 boats according to Finngulf), some also sold as the Inferno 33. The Finngulf 33 described here is the 2000s boat by Karl-Johan Stråhlmann, introduced around 2003 and built until the yard closed in 2011; the facelifted version with a new deck mould, launched in early 2009, was sold as the 331. Many were built by Saare Paat in Estonia.

The yard's owner's manual gives 10.13 m length, 9.26 m waterline, 3.30 m beam, 1.85 m draft (1.65 m shallow keel option), 4,800 kg displacement and 1,800 kg of ballast in a lead bulb keel. The hull is hand-laminated GRP sandwich with a 15 mm foam core, and the boat is certified to CE category A. The 19/20 fractional rig has swept double spreaders and a through-deck headsail furler. The layout has a vee-berth forecabin, a saloon with settees, an aft double cabin and one heads with shower; tanks are 80 l of fuel and 120 l of water.

The engine is a small diesel on a saildrive: a Volvo Penta MD2030 on early boats and a D1-30 by 2007, both around 28-29 hp. The owners' club also holds Yanmar 3YM and SD20 saildrive manuals for the 331, suggesting later boats were Yanmar-powered, but no listing confirms it. Yachting Monthly described it in 2009 as a capable, compact offshore cruiser.
