Saxdor
Saxdor Yachts is a Finnish boatbuilder founded in 2019 and headquartered in Helsinki. The company was started by designer Sakari Mattila, who had previously founded Aquador (1994) and Paragon (2004), co-founded XO Boats (2006), and founded Axopar (2012) before launching Saxdor as its chief designer; the brand name combines Sakari, AXopar and AquaDOR. Hull production takes place in Poland, in Ełk, alongside engineering and manufacturing facilities the company operates in both Finland and Poland. Saxdor's boats are built around twin-stepped, sharp-entry hulls intended for fuel efficiency and performance at prices below premium-segment competitors. The current lineup spans roughly 20 to 46 feet across several model series, including the 200, 270, 320, 340, 400 and 460 ranges, sold through a dealer network covering dozens of countries. Since its first model in 2020, the company reports having built over 2,000 boats and growing to a workforce of close to 1,000 people across its Finnish and Polish operations. In March 2026 the US recreational powerboat manufacturer Malibu Boats, Inc. acquired Saxdor Yachts. Saxdor continues to operate under its own name as part of Malibu's portfolio.
