Nimbus 2600

I produktion 1982–1990 Formgiven av Rolf Eliasson

The Nimbus 2600 is a GRP shaft-drive aft-cabin cruiser of about 7.85 m built 1982 to 1990 to a Rolf Eliasson design, the successor to the long-running Nimbus 26. It has a 2.85 m beam, a 2600 kg dry weight, a 200-litre fuel tank and two cabins sleeping five with a heads. Power was a single Volvo Penta shaft-drive diesel.

Presented at the Gothenburg boat show in February 1982, the 2600 replaced the best-selling Nimbus 26 with a revised bottom, a more modern deck and an improved interior. It uses a hand-laid GRP hull and a single inboard diesel on a straight shaft, from a 90 hp TMD 30A up to a 124 hp TAMD 31, giving semi-displacement performance.

Accommodation is an aft cabin plus forward cabin, five berths, one heads, a 200-litre fuel tank and 100 litres of water. The only sourced draft is a hull-only figure and is omitted; being pre-1998 the boat carries no factory CE category. A sister 2700 without the aft cabin followed in 1983.
