Fairline Phantom 40
The Phantom 40 is a British flybridge motor yacht from Fairline's Phantom range, introduced in 2002 to replace the Phantom 38, pairing sports-cruiser handling with two-cabin flybridge accommodation.
The second-generation Phantom 40 kept Fairline's variable deep-V hull, by naval architect Bernard Olesinski, under a flybridge layout aimed at combining sports-cruiser handling with cruising accommodation rather than maximising interior volume. Below deck it sleeps four across a forward master cabin with island berth and ensuite, plus a second cabin with two single berths, with the galley arranged down for extra storage and privacy from the saloon. The saloon itself has U-shaped seating, and the flybridge carries a helm position and crescent aft seating with an optional convertible sunbed. Fairline offered a wide spread of engine options over the model's run to 2009, from a 370hp Volvo Penta TAMD63P up to a 460hp Caterpillar C7.
