Delta 40 WA
The Delta 40 WA (Walkaround) is a 12.80 m GRP sterndrive cruiser designed by Lars Modin, now discontinued. It has a 3.6 m beam, a 1.20 m draft, a 7000 kg weight, two 400-litre fuel tanks and two cabins sleeping six. It is CE category C, on twin Volvo Penta sterndrive diesels reaching around 40 knots. Its platform continues as the current Delta 400 SW.
The 40 WA is a mid-size walkaround cruiser on a vacuum-infused GRP hull, powered by twin Volvo Penta sterndrive diesels. It carries 800 litres of fuel across two tanks and sleeps six across two cabins.
Production dates and the engine ceiling are genuinely contested across sources: one manufacturer brochure gives a top option of twin D6-370 (740 hp) and dates the boat roughly 2007 to 2013, while aggregators list twin D4-300 (600 hp) and 2013 to 2019. Because these do not reconcile, max_hp is omitted rather than picking a contested figure, and only the discontinuation is recorded with confidence.
The boat's hull continues under the current Delta 400 SW, which Delta describes as based on the 40 WA hull with a third cabin under the driver's seat, a slightly longer 13.1 m LOA and a lighter 6700 kg weight. This row covers the 40 WA specifically; the 400 SW is a distinct successor and is not in this make's taxonomy.
