Connect your own assistant

YachtMaster speaks MCP, the Model Context Protocol. Connect an AI assistant — Claude, or any client that speaks MCP — to your company's YachtMaster and ask it to look things up and get work ready for you.

Setting it up

Add this address in your assistant as a custom connector:

https://app.yachtmaster.cloud/api/mcp

Your assistant registers itself and sends you to YachtMaster to log in and approve the connection. The consent screen names the client asking and the address it will send you back to — read both before you approve.

There is no API key in this flow. You never paste a secret into your assistant, and YachtMaster never shows you one to copy.

What you need

A YachtMaster account, and an MCP client. In Claude, add it under custom connectors.

Nothing else — no key to generate, no plan to upgrade, and no setting for an administrator to switch on. You connect your own assistant, at your own permission level: not the company's, not an administrator's. It can do exactly what you can do in the app, and nothing you cannot.

What the assistant can do

It gets seven tools. Three help it find its way around: which company and role it is acting as, which operations it may call, and the input schema for one operation so it asks for the right fields instead of guessing. Four do the work: read a record or a list, create or update a record, delete a record, and show you a contract as the printed PDF.

Behind those sit your company's operations, grouped by area — customers, objects, offers, sales, projects, tasks, hours, service requests, expenses, purchases, products, suppliers, inventory sessions, leads, CRM, contracts and several template types.

Your connection sees what your role may call. Ask your assistant to list the operations it has and it will tell you exactly, rather than you having to guess from this page.

It is also given YachtMaster's own documentation — one page per area — so it can read how part of the product is meant to work before it touches it.

What the assistant cannot do

It cannot send anything to anyone. There is no operation for sending an invoice, emailing a customer, requesting a signature, taking a payment or publishing an advert. Not restricted, not confirmed-first: absent. The assistant can prepare all of it and leave it ready for you, and the act of sending stays yours.

It cannot exceed your permissions, and it cannot reach another company's data. The role on the connection is read fresh on every call, so if your permissions change in the app, the next thing your assistant tries is judged by the new ones.

Before you use it

Changes are immediate and there is no approval step. Ask the assistant to create or update something and it is created or updated, in the real system, straight away. Nothing queues for review. Treat it the way you would treat your own hands on the keyboard.

Deletes are irreversible. There is no undo and no recycle bin. Deleting a customer also deletes their event history, their service plans, and every mirrored email thread and attachment with them. Your assistant is told this before it deletes anything, and a well-behaved client will ask you to confirm — but the responsibility is yours.

Every row says it was the assistant. Work it does is recorded as created by the assistant, while whose-it-is fields — the hours, the task — stay with you. A colleague looking at that record later can see that a person asked and an assistant acted.

Reviewing and revoking

Your own page in YachtMaster lists your connections, each with when it was last used, when it expires, and a revoke. Administrators see the same list for everyone in the company under Settings → Users, and deactivating a person there kills every connection they hold. Revoking takes effect immediately; a connection you forget about expires on its own.

Your data

The assistant reads and writes your company's data in YachtMaster and nothing else. What it reads goes to whichever assistant you connected, which is covered by that assistant's own privacy terms rather than ours.

YachtMaster sends your data to no AI provider. The product contains no language model, holds no provider credential, and has no chat window of its own. The assistant is yours, and it comes to us rather than the other way round.

Our privacy policy covers collection, use, storage, sharing and retention. Questions: contact@yachtmaster.cloud

Setting YachtMaster up for someone else

There is a second, separate connector for creating a company that does not exist yet — an assistant can propose one, and the person named as administrator approves it. How an assistant signs a company up.
