The Mercury Diesel 3.0L 230 is the 230 mhp (169 kW) rating of the same current 3.0-litre V6 common-rail diesel as the 270.
Same current Mercury Diesel 3.0L V6 block as the 270 — VGT, Bosch common rail, closed cooling — calibrated to 230 mhp / 169 kW. WOT remains 4200 rpm. Dry weight is the same 348 kg engine-only inboard, 358 kg Bravo sterndrive.
Current Mercury family pages list 230 alongside 270 (and 150). It is not the older TDI 3.0-260. Sold as sterndrive and shaft, so engine_type is omitted.
